Veterans Admissions

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions welcomes inquiries from all interested military veterans. When applying to Texas State, the options available to most incoming student veterans are traditional freshman admission or transfer admission.

Veterans Affairs

The Texas State University Office of Veterans Affairs assists veterans and dependents by answering questions concerning veteran educational benefits, certifying enrollments for the Department of Veterans Affairs, processing the Hazlewood benefit, and monitoring our students’ degree plans and academic progress as required for their benefits.

Veteran Academic Success Center

The Veteran Academic Success Center (VASC) offers initiatives that promote veteran student success, including:

  • VASC Guides, a peer-to-peer program of veterans and military-connected students that helps guide students in their academic careers
  • VASC tutoring, veteran-to-veteran tutoring offered out of the Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC)
